Welcome to the No Unfinished Business Podcast!

There are a thousand different ways your clients can leave unfinished business, but no single advisor can address every issue. Let's face it, even after decades in a particular practice, you still have blind spots that your professional training and experience can't address.

We're here to help professional advisors focused on individual clients - like attorneys, CPAs, and financial advisors - identify and eliminate those planning blind spots so you can speak competently and confidently to your clients and help them leave No Unfinished Business. We'll also help you recognize the words and phrases that your clients may say that indicate deeper issues now, so you can help resolve them before they grow into something worse.

We offer those lessons in a digestible chunks, through solo lectures by me and interviews with other smart folks.

Our interviews will break down the specific issues that our guests help resolve, so that you can lead your clients away from those same mistakes.

My solo episodes will be the information that I want every advisor to know about estate planning, probate, tax and more (so they don't have to call me to ask ;)) and to help them better understand the nuances and advise their clients.

A little about me: I'm John Strohmeyer, proprietor of Strohmeyer Law PLLC in Houston, TX, where I guide clients through the maze of estate planning, tax, probate law. I'm board certified in both Tax Law and Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, I'm a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (“ACTEC”, the cool-kids club for estate planners), and I've helped hundreds of clients with their planning and probate issues over the last decade.
